Surprise update

I updated my notebook to Rawhide today, to get a version of Apache 2 that PHP 4.3.2 will compile for, and to get Evolution 1.3.92 (Gnome 2, *drool*). During installation, I got something of a surprise.

Okay, so the XFree86 packages being updated partway during my download, thus causing my XFree86 installation to, ah, fracture was interesting. But no, the most interesting part was when my screensaver – XMatrix – kicked in, and showed the text from when Trinity exploited the SSH1 CRC32 hole to gain control of the power grid in Reloaded.

Having only seen the movie on Tuesday, I found this to be decidedly kick-ass.

I went to the wrong school

I should have gone to the University of Chicago.

This scavenger hunt would have made the outrageous tuition all worth it.
