Got my PowerBook back from CSC yesterday. The new Hard Drive is a good deal quieter than the old – a Hitachi, as opposed to the original Toshiba. Also, the notebook no longer makes the lightsabre noise.
Hey, Canadian Computers: I TOLD YOU THAT NOISE WAS BAD. “Normal PowerBook sound” my ass. And if you’d replaced the HD back then, I might not have lost a few hard-to-replace schematics. Jerks.
