10 days and counting

There are but 10 days remaining in my internship, including today. There’s a fair amount of work to be done as yet, so I’ll be busy for pretty much the whole time. Then, of course, I’ve got but a few days after work ends to get ready to head off to Paris for the IEEE RAB SAC meeting, and also need to get the work I was assigned for the RAB SAC meeting done, preferably before leaving.

This, mind you, is in addition to the work I’ve got to get done on Eng. Mgmt. 5BO3, a course that is already making me regret having done the management stream. I’ve got enough to do in the summer without having to work on not one, but two project courses (due date in June for 4AO1? WTF is wrong with you?)

Update on stuff

It would appear that starting work has left me with less free time than I suspected. I blame a delicious blend of a 2.5 hour commute and, of course, communism. Mmmm, commutism…

At any rate, I’ve been at Gennum for 2.5 monthsish now, and I think I’m settling in rather well. I feel like an idiot sometimes, but I suppose that’s to be expected. I’m gradually taking over responsibilities for when the Old Model (aka ) leaves soon.

In other news, I’ve been hanging out a fair bit with friends who are around and not so much with the ones who aren’t, spending way too much money on eBay (which will result in some projects I’ll be documenting later), and watching the McMaster IEEE go basically nowhere now that I’ve left. A decidedly interesting summer thus far, and there’s another, what, 13 months of it to go? :)
