Is there any way of dealing with all this that doesn’t involve changing my name to Miguel Sanchez?

I have taken the rather drastic step of removing all of the Windows games from my desktop. I expect a full gradepoint improvement in my average as a direct result.
Congrats to
Reading week has begun! To celebrate the week-long workfest, I decided… to cart 10 old computers across campus in a cart that doesn’t steer straight, and winds that can not be described as calm.
The cargo: 10 old PCs. Motherboards are fairly recent (~P166), but the cases are all mid-80s.
The vehicle: The IEEE Student Branch cart. A vehicle that has seen its maximum sane load level many times, exceeded it several times, and has probably been resurrected more than once. A vehicle whose castors are so out of whack that you need to kick each one to the right direction to get it to move nicely.
The start: MGD, 2nd floor
The finish: IEEE Office, ITB/141
The moron driving: Me.
I figured I could do the job in the time it took to play Tribute (Tenacious D), Corrina (Taj Mahal), Kielbasa (Tenacious D), and maybe part of Hotel California (The Eagles), but it wound up taking me Stand By Me (Ben E King) and White Room (Cream) as well. (I only heard the first "ooh" of Runaround Sue when I entered the office, so I don’t count that one)
Time for some food, and maybe a phone call to Suzan before she leaves.
I only just got here, and already Outlook is giving me hell, and the epoxy holding together my notebook is starting to give.
Yeah, this is gonna be a *great* day.
Responding to a comment about nothing being able to top the controversy from the Superbowl Half Time Show…
"Janet Jackson isn’t even the most controversial member of her own family!"
There’s a reason I keep watching this show.
… is that their choice of name for the architecture, and their choice of name for the flagship language, are perhaps the most unsearchable terms every devised. I try searching local libraries – or Google! – for “.net” or “c#” and I get something along the lines of “c-wildcard” and “net”.
Which is, of course, completely useless.
(Come to think of it, I think that’s the only thing I hate about .NET – I only strongly dislike the need for a runtime)
This week will suxX0r in ways that were previously unknown to humankind. To wit:
- I have an IEEE meeting tonight in Oakville. This will last until about 9-10pm.
- Materials quiz tomorrow. Need to read up on that.
- Elec Eng. lab tomorrow. Need to read up on that, too.
- IEEE Student Branch meeting tomorrow.
- Critical Thinking Midterm tomorrow. Definitely need to read up on that.
- Math midterm on Wednesday. Holy crap, do I need to work on that.
- Software assignment due Thursday 8pm. It’ll get started some time around Thursday, 8am.
- Organizational Behaviour assignment due Friday, 1:30pm. That needs to get done Thursday night, so I can print it.
In addition to that crap, I need to get the following done:
- Get a key for the IEEE office to the new treasurer and Computer Chapter Chair
- Hand over the books to the new treasurer
- Get the signing authority on the IEEE account changed
- Get money deposited for the IEEE
- Figure out what money the school owes the IEEE
- Get the IEEE Website done
- Prepare for next week’s midterms and crap
- Sleep
Oh, well – at least Suzan will be here this weekend, and we can do something mindlessly fun. Or mindfully fun – so long as it’s not McMaster-related
